  用法:用于亲朋友间,表示同意他的看法。
   Scene 1:
   Chang:Before I came to the United States, I had the impression that women
   in America were stronger than men, both in society and at home. But now
   I feel that that was a distorted picture.
   Yang:You can say that again. American’s a man’s world too.
  张:还没来到美国之前,在我的印象里,以为美国女人无论在社会上 或家庭里都比男人强,
  不过现在我觉得这个印象是不正确的。
  杨:一点也没错,美国是个男性社会。
   Scene 2:
   Yang:I think there is a sharp contrast between Chinese and Americans.For example,
   the Americans are very individualistic, while the Chinese are very group-oriented.
   Chang:You can say that again. Chinese are very conscious of what other people think
   of them.
  杨:我认为中国人和美国人之间有极明显的差别。
  譬如说,美国人非常个人主义,而中国人就非常集体倾向。
  张:一点也没错,中国人总是非常在意别人对他们的看法。
   Scene 3:
   Yang:The United States is an egalitarian society in terms of interpersonal
   relationships.
   Chang:You can say that again! The woman I just went out to dinner with insisted on
   paying her own way. And when I took her home she kissed me goodnight!
  杨:就人际关系而言,美国是个平等社会。
  张:一点也没错!刚才和我一起去吃饭的那个女人,不但坚持自己付钱,而且当我送她回家时,还亲吻我道晚安! 用法:用于亲朋友间,表示同意他的看法。

  用法:用于担心对方误解时。
  譬如说,我们都有和别人争辩的经验,当对方提出他的看法或意见时,自己的虽然和他的大致相同,但总觉得对方有些
  看法难免有失平衡,或太过极端,而不表示同意,想再重申自己的看法或立场时,可以直接以" Don’t get me wrong."
  做开场白,然后接着把自己的看法陈述出来。 如果你想用"Don’t misunderstand me."亦未尝不可。
   Scene 1
   Mother:Don’t get me wrong. I think Kevin is a very nice person,
   but you have to admit he isn’t very responsible.
   Beth:I guest you are right. He’s got a lot of growing up to do.
  母亲:你不要误会我的意思。我想凯文是个很好的人,不过你必须承认他不很负责任。
  贝丝:您说得不错,他要长大还得有好多事要学习。
   Scene 2
   Marcia:Don’t get me wrong. I like Linda a lot as a friend,
   but I don’t want my brother to get hooked on her.
   Terry:I know what you mean. She’s so pushy sometimes.

   You’re telling me. 说得没错。
  用法:用于较亲朋友间,表示同意他的看法。
  使用地位:平等或是上级对下级说话。
   Scene 1:
   Betty:That was a tough test. 贝蒂:好难的考试啊!
   Bob:You’re telling me! 鲍勃:就是呀!
   Scene 2:
   Betty:Our new teacher’s so good-looking. 贝蒂:我们的新老师长得很好看。
   Jane: You’re telling me. 珍妮:就是啊!
   Scene 3:
   Bob:It’s really humid. 鲍勃:湿气很重哟!
   Betty:You’re telling me. 贝蒂:是啊!
  注释:You are telling me 不适宜用在像一流大饭店这样的场合,故在此种情形下,服务员和客人对话应该如此:
   Guest:It’s really cold, isn’t it?
   Waiter:It certainly is./ Yes, it is.
   Just about --- 差不多了
  用法:表示"不是全部,但大部分都......"
   A:Are you through typing my paper? 我的报告打完了吗?
   B:Just about. I only have three more pages to go.差不多了,还差三页。
   There you go. --- 喏,行了
  用法:表示对方问题已解决。
   A:My zipper won’t zip.
   B:Let me see. There you go. It was just caught on a string.
   A:我的拉链拉不上去。
   B:我来看看。喏,行了,只是被线卡住了。
   Like what? ----- 比方说......
   Tom: What kind of food do you like?
   Betty: I like simple food.
   Tom: Like what?
   Betty: well, Japanese is my favourite.
   You’ll get it soon. ---- 很快你也就会了
   A: I wish I could dance half as well as you.
   B: Don’t worry, you’ll get it soon.
   A: 但愿我的舞蹈能跳得有你一半好就好了。
   B: 不要担心,很快你也就会了。
   That’s sweet of you.
